Sunbelt Rentals, a company that specialises in the hire of equipment for the film and television sector, has acquired a 180,000ft2 facility at Victory Park, Wembley.
In addition to supporting the company’s logistics operation, the site is home to a creative hub, test rooms, a viewing theatre and meeting rooms for clients.
The eight-acre site has reportedly also become a ‘one-stop facility for the company’s wider offerings of power, training and HVAC equipment’.
Colliers supported Sunbelt Rentals with the acquisition.
Tim Harding, director in the industrial and logistics team at Colliers, said: “We’re delighted to have advised Sunbelt Rentals on the acquisition of what will be a state-of-the-art facility for the film and TV sector.
“This transaction underlines the continued strength and diversity behind the capital’s industrial and logistics market; London is home to a huge variation of sub-sectors managing supply chain networks and accommodating customers’ needs.”
Colliers says that ‘the new facility will build on Sunbelt Rentals’ offering of sustainable and low-carbon equipment solutions and will also provide training opportunities and partnerships within the creative industries, to address skills shortages and create local employment opportunities’.
Chris Jones, head of property at Sunbelt Rentals, commented: “Victory Park is a great location to consolidate our film and TV offering for our customers in the capital.
“It’s a really well-connected site which provides ease of access to Central London as well as quick connectivity to routes leading out of the capital, including passing some of London’s best-known studio sites along the way.”
