Eminence Logistics and Boxley Haulage have joined Fortec Distribution, expanding the network’s reach in Kent.
Based near Maidstone, Eminence Logistics has three warehouses, with 30,000 sq ft, and operates 12 vehicles. The company will cover parts of Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Uckfield for Fortec.
Colin Burman, managing director of Eminence, said: “We chose Fortec as it is a cultural fit with our own company. The company operates on the same ideals and ethos as us and I was impressed with its robust systems.”
Boxley Haulage, which was founded in 2013, employs 25 staff and operates a 12-strong fleet – including seven artics and five rigids.
Paul Searing, operations director at Boxley Haulage, said: “Our customers were really happy when we told them we were joining. Approximately nine out of 10 of our customers said they had had past dealings with Fortec and supported us in our decision. Now our aim is to grow our business, increase our revenue and profit and, through Fortec, build a national reputation.”
