Keswick Enterprises, the group chaired by John Harvey, made an operating profit £984,000 last year, up from £241,000 the year before, while turnover was up marginally to £35.5m.
Spatial Global, the freight forwarding and international transport business, increased turnover by 3.9 per cent with strong growth in both the mail and e-commerce businesses. Freight operations continued to be export led with increased North American activity and construction and engineering projects.
SGL, the co-packing business, saw higher than expected levels of activity owing to new business. The group said: “Management is now considering steps for the future expansion and investment in further production equipment.”
Food Search Worldwide, the supply chain sourcing and co-packing business, traded at a small loss.
