The FTA is launching a new air freight working group to address issues impacting the sector, including increased airport capacity in the South East. The association said that the group will focus on establishing a clear FTA “vision and strategy” for the industry, and promoting the air freight sector to UK governments and the EU.
“The group will enable us to develop an action plan to engage constructively with airport owners, operators and airlines to improve air freight facilities, and to continue to engage with UK Government on aviation capacity in the south east of England,” said Alex Veitch, FTA head of global policy.
