Global fitness technology and GPS-enabled products company Garmin has snapped up a 100,206ft2 warehouse in Southampton.
The company has taken Columbia Threadneedle’s Proximity warehouse, which is located on a four-acre site close to the M3/M27 motorway.
The secondhand unit has 12.5m eaves as well as two self-contained 35m and 30m yards. It has five dock and four level access doors as well as three telescopic docks levellers.
“Garmin continues to expand within Europe, and, I am pleased that we have managed to secure the Proximity facility, which provides some much-needed additional warehouse space,” said Nic Bowler, Garmin director of operations EMEA.
The new facility will support continued expansion of the company’s existing European HQ, already based in the city.
Colliers advised Garmin while Realest acted for Columbia Threadneedle.
