Global provider of robotic solutions Geek+ has automated a new warehouse in Taiwan for logistics company Kerry TJ Logistics.
The warehouse is Kerry TJ Logistics’ first AMR-powered logistics centre. Deployment of the solution took three months from planning to finish.
Geek+ claims that its ‘goods-to-person picking robots not only increase storage capacity, but also improve picking efficiency and accuracy thanks to streamlined operations’. These autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) can reduce the necessary staff in the overall picking and putaway process by 30%.
Kerry TJ Logistics will take advantage of this solution to handle e-commerce orders for a global apparel brand. It will ‘handle a massive volume of orders and stock keeping units (SKUs) and unpredictable sales fluctuations while satisfying the fast delivery requirements for its e-commerce and retail businesses’.
Kerry TJ Logistics Director of Business Planning said: “The fast implementation of Geek+’s robots has allowed us to promptly enhance our operational efficiency while maintaining high accuracy.”
Geek+ (Stand i602) will be at IntraLogisteX on 28-29 March 2023 at the NEC Birmingham. For more information, visit www.intralogistex.co.uk.
