Geek+ said it delivered 13.19 million orders within 36 hours during this year’s Singles’ Day in China – a figure it said was a new record for the shopping holiday.
The robotics and automation vendor said that through the deployment of nearly 5,500 AMRs on more than 3.2 million sq ft of warehouse space, it had created what it described as the world’s largest robot warehouse group operation for Singles’ Day, which managed peak demand for over 100 companies and brands.
Geek+ said the 2020 volumes represented 60% year-over-year growth and a 36 hour delivery rate of 97%. It also said that its Geek+ ‘cloud brain’ software managed 200,000 single orders per minute and operated with zero interruption and zero accidents.
Yong Zheng, founder and CEO of Geek+, said: “We are very proud that our solutions help hundreds of brands successfully navigate peak order seasons. With RaaS [Robotics as a Service], we make smart warehousing accessible to businesses of all sizes.”
