Supply chain operator Geodis is creating a new organisational structure, designed to assist its clients’ growth and provide a full portfolio intercontinental service.
This will include transport, customs clearance, road freight transport, warehousing and last mile distribution in each country of the world either through its own assets or selected partners.
Four new regions have been established under one leadership: Western Europe, Middle East & Africa, Northern & Continental Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific. They will be responsible for the full Geodis service offer.
Geodis is also enhancing its business development & marketing and innovation & business excellence departments with the aim of designing and building end-to-end logistics solutions and introducing more innovative ideas into its business processes.
CEO Marie-Christine Lombard said: “We believe that this new organisation will make it easier for our customers to access our services through a stronger local presence. It will also offer more opportunities to develop end-to-end logistics solutions to optimize our clients’ supply chains.”
