Developer Goodman has won planning permission for the largest warehouse available within the M25 and is targeting the e-commerce grocery sector as it markets the development as a chill store.
The property will have a cladding system designed to meet chill-store requirements as well as being able to draw on 4MVA of power.
Planning was granted for the 338,267 sq ft single unit warehouse only this month. It will be known as Purfleet 338 and is located at Purfleet Commercial Park, Essex.
The site has the potential to reach 21 million consumers in just two hours, meeting strong customer demand for prime same-day delivery locations inside the M25 corridor.
The warehouse will be developed to a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ specification and will include more than 29,000 sq ft of high quality office space. It will have an 18m clear internal height and 55 metre yard depth.
It is available on a design and build basis through joint letting agents Cushman & Wakefield and JLL.
