Autonomous case-handling robotics company Hai Robotics has partnered with global logistics engineering company Savoye, to help its warehousing technology reach a wider community in supply chains across the world.
Hai Robotics’ Haipick robot is able to carry individual cartons, as well as totes, to bring them to multiple case pickers or conveyors. The totes can be picked up and placed 5-7 metres high, and the technology works in cold environments down to -10 °C.
The company’s robots were recently deployed to handle the picking and dispatch orders at Australia’s biggest online book retailer Booktopia’s 150,694ft2 distribution centre in New South Wales, boosting its efficiency by 800%.
Kane Luo, Vice President of Sales at Hai Robotics said: “We believe that leveraging Haipick solution with Savoye’s expertise in supply chain and warehouse automation, this partnership will provide a set of unique opportunities for both of us.”
Laurent Bollereau, Strategy and Solutions Engineering Director at Savoye added: “The partnership with HAI ROBOTICS allows us to ideally complement our own range of solutions for goods-to-person order preparation. Indeed, our X-PTS technology is more particularly relevant to meet high-performance needs and large volumes of orders to be processed.”
