Food manufacturer Hain Daniels has extended its contract with DHL Supply Chain to include co-packing.
DHL currently manages warehousing and distribution for Hain Daniels, whose brands include Hartley’s, Robertson’s, Sun Pat, Gale’s and Chivers.
The co-packing operation will be based at DHL’s multi-user facility in Huntingdon. Activities will include sleeving and shrink wrapping, as well as handling display units and shelf ready packaging for Hartley’s Jelly and Jam ranges.
Alex Tompkins, group supply chain and business performance director at Hain Daniels, said: “Our decision three years ago to outsource our ambient operation required an entirely new supply chain for the business, for which finding the right partner was crucial. DHL continues to demonstrate exceptional sector expertise and flexibility in meeting our business needs and we’re pleased to be building on our partnership with today’s announcement of our new co-packing facility.”
