Halfords, the motor and cycle retailer, has awarded Clipper and contract for storage services.
Clipper will handle bulk receipt, inventory management and re-work/pre-retailing services. Its Daventry facility is being re-engineered to provide the capacity to accommodate the fluctuating needs of the Halfords business, with the introduction of 15k pallets of storage capability.
Tracey Barley-Wild, head of logistics at Halfords, said: “We are delighted with the partnership to date and working with Clipper will enable us to improve the service we offer customers both in shops and online.”
Clipper chief executive Tony Mannix said: “Our agility and experience in handling a wide variety of merchandise means that we’re perfectly placed to help fulfil their requirements. The partnership is a perfect demonstration of the Clipper ethos: working collaboratively and proactively with retailers to design bespoke solutions to address specific needs.”
