Major heating and plumbing supplier Altecnic has snapped up a 113,000 ft² warehouse next to its headquarters in Stafford to aid in its expansion plans and increase its sustainability credentials.
Gary Perry, Managing Director at Altecnic, said: “The significant investment by our parent company in these new facilities is testament to Caleffi’s long term commitment to growing its UK footprint and supporting our customer base.
“We have big plans for the new premises to not only improve the capability of our operations, but as an opportunity to further increase our sustainability.”
The company, which is part of the Italian Caleffi Group, is looking at ways to boost its ESG credentials throughout its supply chain. In 2021 it took delivery of electric forklift trucks to replace older gas-powered ones, saving 2.8 tonnes of CO2e a year.
The new facility will be refitted and open later this year.
