Hill Helicopters, a Staffordshire-based designer and manufacturer of helicopters, has agreed a 10-year lease with Ergo Real Estate for Ergo 66, a 66,738ft² industrial facility located 1.5 miles north of Stafford town centre.
Ergo Real Estate completed the deal on behalf of Aver Property, a joint venture with NFU Mutual. This deal means that Ergo Stafford is now fully let. Other occupiers at the site include Screwfix and FDL.
The facility will have a new gantry mill for Hill Helicopters, as well a machine shop for the precision production of helicopter components. Furthermore, it will feature a complete composites production line and paint shop, plus a customer showroom and lounge that the firm says will provide ‘complete visibility of production activities for the Hill Helicopter customers’.
Peter Teare, CEO of Hill Helicopters, said: “Hill Helicopters is delighted to have acquired such high-quality space in Stafford, which secures the path into production for a new, all-British designed and built aircraft and engine.”
Leigh Burnett, asset manager at Ergo Real Estate, added: “Hill Helicopters completes the lettings for Ergo at Stafford, bringing an exciting new dimension with its innovative business model.
“The high calibre of tenants have been attracted by the quality of the design and construction of the units, as well as the sustainable credentials which include the buildings benefiting from an EPC rating of ‘A’ and a BREEAM âVery Goodâ rating.â
As well as six dock level doors, two level access doors, 86 parking spaces and four HGV spaces, Ergo 66 benefits from two electric vehicle charging points.
