For the fourth year in a row, Hermes has promised that all online purchases will be delivered before Christmas Day.
It said that every parcel that enters its network by 23.59pm on Wednesday 21st of December, “will have a least one delivery attempt made otherwise Hermes will refund the delivery charge”.
“By making this commitment again, we are guaranteeing that customers will receive their presents in time for Christmas,” said Martijn De Lange, chief operating officer. “Throughout peak 2015 we processed a total of 30.3 million parcels, with an amazing 1.4 million parcels processed in just 24 hours.
“This is a 24 per cent increase on 2014 and we fully expect that number to rise this year.
“We are constantly investing in our network and infrastructure to withstand the increase in parcels and to ensure both customers and retailers enjoy the peak season.”
