Parcel carrier Hermes has taken a pre-let 76,822ft2 parcel depot at developer Jaynic’s 2 million ft2 Suffolk Park scheme in East Anglia.
Ben Oughton, development director of Jaynic, said: “The unit to be occupied by Hermes demonstrates the excellence of this location near Junction 45 of the A14. This further letting flags up the strong and sustained demand at Suffolk Park over the last couple of years from occupiers for a range of sizes, and has hastened our decision to submit the detailed application for Phase three of the development.”
A new detailed application has been submitted comprising the Hermes unit and two further warehouse units of 160,000ft2 and 47,000ft2.
The 160,000ft2 unit – SP160 – will benefit from enterprise zone status while the 47,000ft2 unit – SP47 will be built alongside the unit occupied by the East of England Ambulance Trust.
Companies taking space at Suffolk Park to date include Weerts Group, MH Star UK Ltd, Unipart Logistics, Treatt, Sealey and The East of England Ambulance Trust accounting for approaching 1.75m ft2 of space.
Letting agents are Hazells, Savills and Bidwells.
