Hermes has introduced a service that offers online customers an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for both next day and standard delivery, as well as for returns.
It will initially run a four-hour time window on the morning of a customer’s delivery/collection, and that this will be lowered to two hours by the end of 2016.
“Recent research from Metapack revealed that two thirds of consumers are anxious about leaving their homes when they are expecting a delivery,” said CEO of Hermes, Carole Woodhead. “Therefore it is clear that the vast majority of consumers want the convenience of an ETA for all of their deliveries, and not just when opting for a premium service.”
