Hillwood’s EU Industrial Club IV and Cain International has announced the successful finalisation of a £33 million loan for a new 335,000ft² industrial storage facility in Crewe, UK.
Termed Crewe 335, the storage facility will be located less than a mile from the A500 Dual Carriageway and some six minutes travel time from Junction 16 of the M6, ensuring easy access to the national motorway network.
The development will feature industrial/logistics space that meets the practical demands of prospective tenants, including an eaves height of 15 metres, Grade A offices, dock level access loading bays, an extensive outdoor yard area and separate car parking.
Director debt capital markets at Hillwood, Armin Senoner, said: “This transaction signifies the initiation of a strategic alliance with Cain, as we aim to enhance our debt capital markets presence throughout the UK and other European markets.”
Crewe 335 will be built to BREEAM “Excellent” standards and aims to achieve an EPC “A” rating.
Macfarlanes and Addleshaw Goddard acted on behalf of Hillwood and Cain International, respectively, and were instrumental in completing the financing.
Nikos Yerolemou-Ennsgraber, director at Cain International, said: “This new partnership with Hillwood marks an exciting step forward as we deepen our commitment to sustainable, future-focused projects.
“We look forward to working with the team as they deliver a highly sought-after product that will bolster economic growth and enhance environmental responsibility in the region.”
