HL Plastics has been given planning permission for a 150,000 sq ft warehouse next to its factory and mixing plant at Denby Hall Business Park in Derbyshire.
The £8m expansion plan will allow the company, which makes Liniar uPVC extrusions, to bring all the brands manufacturing divisions on to one site and create an additional 200 jobs in the area.
Liniar’s foiling plant and roof divisions, located a few miles away from the rest of the operation at premises in Somercotes, will be relocated, bringing the entire operation onto one site.
This will also remove the cost of additional transport and man hours spent shunting materials between the two sites and back again, keeping in-line with the brand’s philosophy of being efficient and eco-friendly.
“I’m absolutely delighted that our plans have been given the thumbs up,” said chief executive, Roger Hartshorn. “The new warehouse is vital for us to continue to expand and enable us to increase output levels to meet the growing demand for Liniar products.
“It makes perfect commercial sense to have all our operations running in the same location and we’re always keen to create employment opportunities in the area and continue to help boost the local economy.”
