In recent years, the Environmental Improvement category has become an increasingly sought after prize at the Logistics and Supply Chain Excellence Awards. Could your carbon footprint see you walk away with this celebrated award?
For this category, we are looking for projects that have reduced carbon footprints, used resources more efficiently and/or minimised waste to the benefit of the supply chain.
Last year there were three shortlisted entries that had outstanding scores, with only a point or two between them. It was a close call between The City of Hamburg with UPS, Whitbread with Kuehne + Nagel and Spirit Pub Company (acquired by Greene King). In the end, it was the Spirit Pub Company’s diversion of 94 per cent of its waste away from landfill that saw it take home the trophy.
In its 20th year, the Supply Chain Excellence awards sets a precedent for the industry. Its stringent judging process, where supply chain performance is analysed in detail, makes it a very special and renowned event.
Those who are lucky enough to be shortlisted will make a presentation to our set of judges, as well as face detailed questioning from a panel. It is an exhaustive process that truly makes the awards worth winning.
The event itself will be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Monday 14th November 2016, where the winners will be revealed at a dazzling ceremony. Expect a delicious three-course meal and networking opportunities.
