IDI Gazeley is starting a programme of speculative development in the UK with a 97,672 sq ft warehouse at G.Park Enfield in North London.
“This project together with the recent completion of a 269,000 sq ft speculative building in Germany at our flagship Magna Park Kassel development offers a clear signal of intent to expand our activity to serve the demands of our growing customer community,” said Pat McGillycuddy, CEO Europe & China.
“We expect to make further announcements in due course.”
The building at G.Park Enfield will comprise of 92,204 sq ft of warehouse space with 4,736 sq ft of two storey office space. It will feature 12.5m clear internal height, 10 dock and 8 level access doors, 23 HGV parking spaces and 90 car parking spaces.
It is expected to complete and be available for immediate occupation at the start of July this year. It sits on a 5.2 acre plot, adjacent to the 90,000 sq ft dot-com distribution centre previously developed by IDI Gazeley for Tesco on a fast-track basis in 9 weeks in 2012.
“We are seeing healthy demand for new, sustainable distribution warehouse space across all of our primary markets in the UK and we are confident that the development of this plot on the park in the much sought after north M25 logistics location will yield much interest,” said Nigel Godfrey IDI Gazeley executive director and UK country head.
“A full marketing programme has started and we look forward to attracting an occupier soon.”
Letting agents on the scheme are Lambert Smith Hampton, JLL and CBRE.
