Joanne Denney-Finch, chief executive at IGD, is to step down in September after 20 years in the job.
She said: “Last year was a landmark year for me, marking 20 years in my tenure as chief executive at IGD. During that time, we have built a strong team, whose contribution to our industry has never been greater.
“It has, however, been my ambition for some time to explore a number of different opportunities in both my professional and personal life in the future and these require more time than I presently have working full time. As a result, I have taken the decision to trigger my notice period with a view to leaving IGD at the end of September.
“The IGD Trustees have now embarked on their search for my successor.”
