Instruments4music, the musical instrument retailer, has introduced an order-to-despatch system from NetDespatch that manages orders placed via the company’s own web site, as well as its Amazon and eBay marketplaces, and integrates with Royal Mail.
More than 95 per cent of the company’s musical instruments and equipment is sold online. Initially it used a manual despatching process with staff inputting details for around 50 orders per day into the system, but the company quickly identified that they needed to eliminate this labour intensive and potentially error-prone practice. “NetDespatch saves us at least two hours per day, and it has certainly taken the pressure off our warehouse staff,” said general manager Christina Heaton.
