IntraLogisteX 2020 will now take place on 1st and 2nd October at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, following the government’s easing of restrictions on exhibitions taking place.
IntraLogisteX was originally scheduled to take place on 31 March and 1 April, but in the light of UK government advice regarding Covid-19 Logistics Manager publisher and show organiser Akabo Media has moved the show to the autumn.
On Friday prime minister Boris Johnson announced that major business events can restart from 1 October.
Stephen Brooks, managing director at Akabo Media, told exhibitors and delegates today: “Over the past couple of months, we have seen a continued easing of the lockdown restrictions in the UK.
“Back in May, we took the decision to move IntraLogisteX 2020 to the end of September and, as you are no doubt aware, the Government announced last Friday that exhibitions will be allowed to take place from the 1st October. Our planning and assumption, therefore, was a couple of days out.
“However, the exciting news is that we will be holding IntraLogisteX this year on the 1st and 2nd October – we have simply moved it to later in the week.
“We all know, of course, that a large number of exhibitions have moved to 2021, but IntraLogisteX, along with the Robotics & Automation exhibition, will both now be taking place in Q4 this year.”
All existing bookings and visitor registrations will remain in place and will be transferred to the rescheduled dates.
Over 130 exhibitors will be at IntraLogisteX 2020 showcasing the latest intralogistics and materials handling technology. Logisticsmanager.com will be revealing more details in the countdown to the return of the show.
