IntraLogisteX is on target to be even bigger next year following the success of this year’s event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
The exhibition, which had a record attendance, received praise from both exhibitors and visitors alike. One exhibitor said: “We love coming here!”
Next year, IntraLogisteX takes place from 31st March to 1st April, and it will take both halls at the Ricoh Arena giving some 40 per cent more space than this year.
Organisers report a high level of rebooks with existing exhibitors taking an average of 30 per cent more space next year. More than 180 leading suppliers of IntraLogisteX products are expected to exhibit.
This year’s exhibition which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week drew great comments from exhibitors. “An excellent Show with minimal distraction,” said Philip Greatrix of Pierau Planung. “Well organised and supported throughout.”
And Nick Ivins of Sanderson said: “Feels like an elite show – we love coming here! We’ve had some good conversations.”
Visitors were equally impressed. “Great chance to learn about exciting new developments in the world of supply chain and logistics,” said Volvo’s uptime solutions co-ordinator.
Strandvaus’s operations director said: “Excellent selection of exhibitors. Great insight to the future for IT systems and automation.”
The exhibition saw a record number of product launches. Robotics specialist Autostore chose IntraLogisteX for the UK launch of its new Black Line range.
ProGlove exhibited its new MARK 2 wearable barcode scanner which features Bluetooth and is capable of scanning distances of up to 150 cm.
Red Ledge launched its new warehouse management and control system solution which use automation to optimise warehouse control.
It was the first time exhibiting at IntraLogisteX for imio Software, which has been just been formed as a separate business from Conveyor Networks.
Another first time exhibitor, Conker, has just launched its SX5 Android barcode scanner.
IntraLogisteX highlighted the rapid developments in automation and robotics with the latest technology on show from exhibitors such as Knapp, SSI Schaefer, Daifuku, AutoStore.
Linde exhibited its latest automated systems, while AGVs were on show from iCart and EK-Automation.
One of the features of this year’s exhibition was a strong conference programme which attracted big audiences. Speakers included: Lucas Systems, OrderWise, SPAR International, HelloFresh and the Freight Transport Association.
