Jaguar Land Rover has renewed its lease at its 440,000ft² Phoenix Distribution Centre in Ellesmere Port for a further five years at a rent of £2.6 million a year with landlord Clearbell Property Partners III LP and Barwood Regional Property Growth Fund IV LP.
JLR originally took the former Synchreon Logistics space on a 10-year lease in 2012 at an initial rent of £3.75 per ft² with then landlord Highcross, for parts distribution and storage to support both the production of its Evoque and Land Rover Freelander 2 at its Halewood plant. DHL was contracted provide the 3PL support.
The property which was built in 2001 is located on a 21-acre plot and was acquired by Clearbell and Barwood in 2021 from alternative investment firm Varde Partners.
Clearbell and Barwood were advised by independent logistics and industrial property company Junction 10 Consultancy.
