Körber’s partnership with retail company JYSK continues to support the company in the face of challenges throughout the rise of e-commerce.
Körber continues its collaboration with the retail chain JYSK at its distribution centre Bozhurishte (DCB) in Bulgaria. Recently, the DCB has been supplying to both JYSK’s own stores and also online customers in Southeastern Europe.
Through Körber, JYSK has now expanded the capabilities of its distribution centre and prepared it for the complexities of online retail.
Körber implemented the warehouse management system based on SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and SAP EWM MFS.
With this, JYSK is also able to offer its customers services with much lower carbon footprints. In the past, online orders for Southeastern Europe were largely processed in Radomsko, Poland, and incurred high transport costs.
Allan K. Kjærgaard, EVP Logistics at JYSK said: “The SAP system and automation components allow us to meet the expectations of our customers more efficiently and effectively despite the increasing volume. Our ongoing partnership with Körber and its versatile solution portfolio has and will continue to enable the flexibility to expand our capabilities to meet future demands.”
