KFC has called in Stowga to provide on-demand warehousing to help it solve its UK delivery problems with the first site going live on Friday (23rd February).
Stowga said it was contacted late on Tuesday night by a property consultant with an urgent enquiry on behalf of one of their clients. The question asked was whether Stowga could find a number of warehouses up and down the country ‘at short notice’.
“How short?” asked chief commercial officer Sanjeev Jeyakumar.
“Three days ago” came the reply.
Stowga has since worked with KFC to get them eight different warehouse spaces across the UK through an Airbnb for warehousing type platform. The first warehouse location, near Bristol, went live at 8am on Friday and others are due to come online over the next few days.
