Kuehne & Nagel has taken a 195,547 sq ft warehouse near East Midlands Airport to be the new national operating centre for its Overland activities in the UK.
The first employees will be in situ by early April, having relocated for sites in Nottingham and Birmingham.
The facility, at Segro Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway, sits on a 17-acre site. The warehouse includes a 40,000 sq ft temperature controlled area for pharmaceutical products, offices and staff amenities. I
Jim Hedderwick, director of K+N’s Overland business, said: “The facility at SLPEMG will be integral to our UK operations and we are looking forward to going live in April.”
SLPEMG is multi-modal logistics hub which will provide a total of 6 million sq ft of modern industrial space across 700-acres.
