Anglepoise, a Hampshire-based manufacturer of lamps, has extended its relationship with logistics company Delamode, with the latter taking on an expanded role. Delamode will manage 100% of Anglepoise’s warehousing and logistics for the UK and Continental European markets.
The manufacturer has imported its range of desk, floor, wall, and pendant lamps via Delamode’s Southampton Container Port operation since 2018. Delamode says that Anglepoise ‘will continue to benefit from B2B services with UK customs clearance to bonded warehousing, high-volume order processing, pre-retailing, and distribution to both retail and end-customer’. It says that in 2023, the remit extends to B2C, returns processing, and added-value pre-retailing.
Anglepoise Finance and Operations Director James Wakley said: “Delamode has continued to provide a first-class retail logistics solution. The port-centric location of their warehousing offers efficiencies and cost savings, whilst our teams benefit from 24/7 visibility of our product levels, which proves invaluable when planning”.
Mike Thomas, Client Services Director at Delamode added: “I am delighted our relationship with Anglepoise has extended; they are a great partner with an iconic product range. By taking advantage of Delamode’s port-centric model, our teams can optimise delivery to Anglepoise customers across the UK and Continental Europe via our Roosendaal shuttle and warehousing services.”
