Japanese automation firm LexxPluss has introduced its autonomous mobile robots (AMR) technology to the US market.
The company unveiled a demo space in Fishers, Indiana, to showcase its fleet solutions, including the Lexx500 AMR and LexxFleet fleet management system.
With a US subsidiary, sales office in Indiana and key hires in place, LexxPluss hopes to see major growth in the US.
Founded in 2020 by CEO Masaya Aso and robotics experts, LexxPluss is backed by a US$10.7m (£8.1m) Series A funding round, with the company hoping tap into the booming US mobile robots market, which is projected to reach US$3.8bn (£2.9bn) by 2027.
Rizo Itakura, COO of LexxPlus, sees vast potential in the US market, saying: “There is huge potential for greater automation in the US.
“Our products remove barriers to scaling up and integrating automation with existing systems. Customers can start with a single unit, using existing carts and production machinery to generate greater efficiencies and improve the working environment.
“Interested companies and potential partners are welcome to visit our demo space in Indiana, to learn first-hand how our solutions can help to create sustainable intralogistics operations.”
The three products to have been officially introduced to this market are the Lexx500 AMR, LexxFleet fleet management solution and LexxTug towing interface, all of which have been rebranded for an international audience (formerly the Hybrid-AMR, Konnectt and WaniGripper).
