Lidl’s new £70 million 58,500 sq m EuroCentral distribution centre near Motherwell, Scotland is set to be fully operational by November 2019 and will support the retailer’s growing presence in Scotland.
The DC is in its final phase of construction and will be the base for 600 employees working in roles ranging from operations and logistics to customer service, with capacity to increase the workforce further.
“Our investment in this new warehouse underlines our long-term commitment to Scotland, which will help to ensure that Lidl stores from Kirkwall to Stranraer are always stocked with our fresh, locally sourced, high quality products,” said Lidl’s Scotland regional director Ross Millar.
