Linde Material Handling has launched a health and safety training programme for its workforce called the Safety Passport.
The Safety Passport is compulsory for all Linde engineers, and consists of 12 modules, each lasting 20 minutes which are completed over three years. Learning is done online, meaning staff can complete in bite-sized chunks, rather than having to take several days at time to attend an intensive course.
The programme was developed in partnership with software company Safety Media, and has been verified by Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
Alan McEnteggart, health, safety & environmental manager, said: “By making training accessible online our engineers can learn flexibly and more regularly we have made it as easy as possible for them to learn on the job rather than spend longer periods of time away from the workplace.
