Real-estate investment company Logicor has let two warehouses in the North in as many weeks.
It has let a 40,000ft2 warehouse in Preston to brewing company Carlsberg Marston, which has signed a five-year lease at Zip56 in Preston Brook.
The lease is part of Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company’s plan to consolidate its secondary logistics network into a single in-house solution for on-trade customers commencing March 2022. This will create the largest logistics network dedicated to the on trade operated by a brewer in the UK.
The move follows the creation of CMBC in November 2020, a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, which included an existing in-house logistics and depot network previously operated by Marston’s.
CMBC and DHL Tradeteam will continue to work together, unchanged until March 2022, when a phased integration will run until May 2022 to ensure a seamless operation for customers.
B8 Real Estate represented landlord Logicor on the deal. Knight Frank advised CMBC.
In a second deal, Logicor let its 72,980ft2 refurbished Unit 2, Swan Road in Peterlee, UK to Innerglass, a company that provides no food consumables to the catering and hospitality sector. The warehouse will provide space for expansion plans.
Naylors Gavin Black and Cushman & Wakefield advised Logicor.
