At this year’s Industrial & Logistics Property Conference, taking place in London on 15 May 2024, Logistics Manager will host a panel discussion on evolving approaches to urban logistics.
The discussion will be moderated by the award-winning Johanna Parsons, Logistics Manager’s contributing editor for property and features, and will see experts discuss the trends and challenges within the urban logistics landscape.
The first confirmed panellist is Kevin Savage, COO at Delivery Mates. With significant experience in supply chain and logistics across multiple sectors, Savage brings a unique perspective to the challenges associated with urban logistics. He is currently running a number of operations that are driving changes in order to address the environmental and social responsibility challenges within last-mile deliveries. Savage has previous experience working for companies like Amazon and DHL, and more recently SMEs that are disrupting “the norm” with innovative and sustainable solutions for customers, allowing him to give a balanced view.
His experience in supply chain and logistics means he can provide a valuable insight into the rapidly changing world of sustainable logistics, focusing on answering the question of how micro-hubs are needed to support the decarbonisation of last mile transport.
Also confirmed to be on the panel is Rich Pleeth, co-founder and CEO of Fin Sustainable Logistics. Pleeth has a wealth of experience in ridesharing, e-scooters, marketing, fundraising and regulatory affairs. He was previously managing director and head of investor relations at Bolt, where he successfully secured a Transport for London private car licence for Bolt and helped raise more than US$200 million.
Prior to Bolt, he was the chief marketing officer at Gett. Earlier in his career, Rich worked at Google in the marketing team where he managed Chrome, Search and brand marketing for the UK.
Logistics Manager’s innovative Industrial & Logistics Property Conference will show industrial and logistics property occupiers how to leverage their properties to help with their business, operational, environmental, social and governance strategies.
Every business – including those in the distribution and logistics sectors – can benefit from matching its property strategy to its business goals. It is becoming increasingly important to create properties that are productive, well-located, good places to work in, sustainable and that work in harmony with the wider stakeholder communities.
The industrial and logistics property sector is the fastest growing sector in commercial property, offering a huge untapped opportunity. Those who attend the conference will discover the latest industrial and logistics property trends and insights.
On top of hearing from industry-leading experts, there will also be opportunity for delegates to expand their business network during dedicated networking breaks.
This one-day face-to-face event is totally free to attend for qualifying property tenants such as logistics and distribution companies, retailers, warehouse operators, fulfilment companies and more. Others like property developers or commercial property agents are welcome to attend as paying delegates.
Among the list of speakers already announced for the conference are those from the likes of Whistl, DPD, Yusen Logistics, Places for London, Visku and Aurora Insights. As the event draws closer, keep an eye out on Twitter and LinkedIn for more speaker announcements, and on the Logistics Manager website for a more detailed look at each speaker.
