At a recent Alliance for European Logistics (AEL) summit, logistics professionals called for the industry and governments to incentivise innovation to lower carbon emissions.
“Logistics is the backbone of the European economy and we must ensure that it remains competitive as well as sustainable,” said AEL president Mathieu Grosch. “By working hand in hand, the logistics industry and policy makers can achieve vital progress by creating incentives to lower emissions.”
At the summit, industry representatives from Deutsche Post DHL Group, SAP and Michelin Global solutions spoke about their most recent examples of technological progress.
