Industrial property specialist First Industrial with the backing of US property investment company Exeter property Group has applied for planning permission for a 357,700 sq ft distribution facility on an 18.3 acre site at Harworth Estate’s Logistics North scheme in Bolton.
The joint venture bought the plot freehold for an undisclosed sum. The deal represents the fifth sale of land by Harworth at Logistics North after Aldi, MBDA, Joy Global and M&G Real Estate.
Logistics North was granted outline planning consent in December 2013 for 4 million sq ft of distribution and manufacturing space. In May 2015, Harworth completed construction of the first phase of the site’s spine road and associated infrastructure, opening up a number of development plots including the one being sold to Exeter Property Group.
