Icon Industrial is looking to start construction of the larger of the two facilities it secured planning for in April this year at its World Logistics Hub at Manchester Airport.
Two schemes were proposed on the same plot and both secured planning on the 18.8 site and it seems as if the larger of the two proposals is set to be built out speculatively following the submission of a discharging of planning conditions notice by planning consultant Avison Young.
Icon Industrial is a joint venture between industrial and office developer Stoford and US investor TPG Real Estate.
The facility, known as Unit 2, will have consist of 375,250 sq ft of warehouse space as well as three storey offices totalling 18,750 as well as two story hub offices of 4,000 sq ft. Construction will be carried out by Winvic.
Icon Manchester is a £150 million 45-acre logistics/warehouse development that forms part of the Airport City masterplan.
Letting agents are CBRE, JLL, and DTRE.
