Masternaut, the telematics provider, has launched a maintenance module for Masternaut Connect, designed to enable fleet managers to adopt a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance.
It uses Masternaut’s CANbus technology to collect real-time information on servicing and vehicle faults on cars and commercial vehicles. Depending on the vehicle make, the information provided includes: servicing: mileage and/or days done before maintenance required; vehicle safety faults including ABS faults, brake faults, ESP faults and more; engine status alerts, including MIL on, high water temperature, and low engine oil pressure.
Steve Towe, chief commercial officer and UK managing director, Masternaut, said: “We wanted to offer a maintenance tool kit that gives an immediate overview of fleet compliance, with quick access to information and something that can help them save time and money through efficiency gains. This will help fleet managers become more proactive when it comes to fleet maintenance operations, offering improved planning and vehicle turnaround time.”
