MSC has made an offer of €5.7 billion to buy Bolloré’s African logistics business.
The Bolloré Group has granted MSC Group an exclusivity until 31st March 2022 to enable the MSC Group, further to an additional due diligence phase and contractual negotiations, to submit a put option.
The sale of which would grant MSC full ownership of the Bolloré Africa Logistics business.
Completion of the sale would require the approval of regulatory and competition authorities, as well as of certain counter-parties of Bolloré Africa Logistics.
With regard to shipping activities, the Group has a network of 85 maritime agencies including 74 African agencies in 32 countries, 11 branches on the Iberian peninsula, and 2 branches in Asia-Pacific.
7,100 port visits were processed this year on behalf of the world’s largest shipping lines and on behalf of Bolloré’s various customers which include shipowners, operators, traders, and manufacturers.
