Starbucks has appointed Hans Melotte as executive vice president global supply chain, leading the Global Supply Chain organisation, which supports Starbucks operations in more than 70 countries.
Most recently, Melotte served as Johnson & Johnson’s chief procurement officer.
Kevin Johnson, Starbucks president and chief operating officer, said Melotte would play a critical role in driving the supply chain agenda across the business “and leading our on-going efforts to create a scalable and agile function that enables growth for Starbucks around the world.”
“With his strong track-record and ambitious vision for the organisation, Hans’ leadership will help accelerate the pace of innovation in our business processes and transform the way we support our retail stores and distribution channels in terms of both efficiency and effectiveness.”
