Pallet network UPN has put in place new management structure following the appointment of David Brown as managing director earlier this year.
The change involves the creation of a team of regional directors to work with UPN members nationwide. Former Fortec and TNT man Andrew Knowles has joined as regional director – South East, while Jayne Lowndes joined from UK Pallets as regional director – South West.
Kevin Nightingale became regional director for the Central Region. Nightingale has previous management experience at Wincanton, P&O and Hargreaves.
The fourth regional director is Andrew Spencer who has been in the pallet sector for fifteen years and with UPN since 2009. He will be covering the North, Scotland and Ireland.
UPN also confirmed Richard Arnold as its legal director.
Brown, who was previously commercial director, said: “I am looking to ensure that as a company we are always working totally in synergy with our membership and their own local needs as businesses. As a result I am placing great emphasis on communication, one to one member support, and strengthening the “glue” between all aspects of our network.”
