Plans have been submitted for a new DPD parcel depot in Westerham, Kent.
The proposals put forward by developer Roxhill are part of a larger application for the development of the 21-acre former Moorhouse Tile works site off the A25 running between the towns of Oxted and Westerham near Sevenoaks.
Roxhill envisages a scheme consisting of four plots totalling 225,375 sq ft with plot one used as a 60,000sq ft parcel depot for Geopost trading as DPD. Geopost has been looking for a site in the region and this scheme is considered ideal. The company predicts that it would provide up to 120 jobs.
Regionally the site sits centrally between Croydon, Tonbridge and Crawley with good access to the A21 and A22 as well as the M25, M23 and M26. Permission has yet to be granted.
