Advanced Supply Chain has launched ‘ReStore’, a new returns service. The global supply chain provider said it hopes the new service will ‘stem the losses incurred by retailers due to inefficient and inadequate returns processes.
“Retailers are focused on driving revenues up and increasing their sales figures year on year,” said Ben Balfour, Advanced Supply Chain’s commercial director. “We are looking to educate them that by not revisiting their ‘lost’ stock, they are haemorrhaging profits and making their business much less successful.
“All too often customers return items in a condition that renders them unfit for resale, leaving retailers with a stark choice – refuse the return and risk damaging customer relations, or write down the value of the stock – often significantly.”
Yale launches mid-range counter-balance truck
Yale Europe Materials Handling is launching a new ICE counter-balance truck – the MX series. It is initially available in 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 tonne capacities.
“In the MX series we have assembled a solution which offers all of the high standards associated with the Yale brand,” said Karen Calver, Yale product manager for counterbalance trucks. “Dependability, serviceability, ergonomics, productivity and low cost of ownership are not simply on our wish list, they are the principles that define a Yale product to its core – and we are excited that the MX series comfortably meets all these criteria.”
