Kuehne + Nagel is restructuring its European operations, establishing two organisational units: Western Europe, and Central / Eastern Europe from 1st October.
Peder Winther will become regional manager Western Europe. He will be succeeded in his current position as head of the Middle East / Africa region by Erwin Wittemaier.
The headquarters for the Western Europe division will be Amsterdam.
The Central / Eastern Europe will have its head office in Hamburg. Kuehne + Nagel will consolidate the German organisation and the Eastern European countries.
Hansjoerg Rodi will join the group to lead the Central / Eastern Europe region. From 2008 to 2015 Rodi was chief executive officer Central Europe region at DB Schenker Logistics.
CEO Detlef Trefzge said: “The establishment of two equally strong European regions will enable us to manage our business in Europe even more focused. We are very pleased to promote two experienced Kuehne + Nagel senior managers and – at the same time – to have an external top executive joining our company.”
