The Nightline Group, the Irish delivery company, has opened a facility in Waterford three times the size of its other premises in the city. The company has seen its annual parcel volumes rise by 30 per cent.
The site is 30,000 sq ft and 35 people will work at the depot – taking the firm’s total number of staff up to 800.
“We believe that our new depot in Waterford marks a clear statement of intent to maintain our high standards of performance for the benefit of consumers and business customers in the region,” said John Tuohy, CEO of Nightline. “The e-commerce boom has not just been of benefit to those UK brands shipping to shoppers in the Republic but home-based retailers wanting to meet the appetite of Irish people shopping online.”
