UK and Ireland multi temperature supply chain operator Oakland International has appointed former Morrisons senior operations manager Mark Cartlidge as general manager of its Corby chilled and freezer operations.
Cartlidge will be responsible for all aspects of Corby’s health and safety, training, legal compliance and the negotiation of new business contracts. In the newly created role Cartlidge will focus on improving accuracy and their use of the Snap Fulfilment warehouse management system to support Corby’s existing client base and potential new customers.
“My immediate push is to improve communication throughout Corby and ensure that this filters through to our customers and partners by being proactive and delivering information and data so that everyone can do their job,” said Cartlidge.
He added that his long-term goal was to drive new contracts and run Corby efficiently, whilst creating a “chain of progression to enable colleagues from all levels to progress and improve”.
As well as its site in Corby, Oakland International has depots in Redditch and Dublin.
