Ocado has taken out a 15-year lease for a speculative distribution centre in south west London totalling more than 56,000 sq ft from Segro.
The lease is for two units that, subject to planning permission, will be converted into a single 56,947 sq ft DC at Stockley Close, which will act as the distribution hub for Ocado customers in south west London.
Ian Starling, head of property and network development, Ocado, said:
“Stockley Close is the perfect fit for our business. It will act as a hub to distribute to our customers in south west London and helps us remain at the forefront of the e-commerce revolution changing the way we shop and, ultimately, consume goods.”
Stockley Close has close links to junction 4 of the M4 and the M25, and is within close proximity to Heathrow Airport.
