Online baby product and nursery retailer Kiddies Kingdom is opening a new distribution warehouse in Dewsbury.
The 47,864 sq ft building is the company’s biggest warehouse and will consolidate seven other warehouses into one space.
The building is equipped with a modern racking system and intelligent stock movement technology, and will support the company’s efforts to meet increased demands for baby and nursery products following a surge in online retailing over the course of the year.
Mohammed Patel, managing director of Kiddies Kingdom, said: “Expanding our warehouse space is a crucial step in our growth strategy, so we can continue to support new and expectant parents at a time when they need us the most.
The retailer, which stocks over 200 well-known brands, has seen record sales in the past 12 months with a further 40 per cent growth.
The warehouse is expected to be fully operational in 2021.
