Optima Logistics has taken Prologis’ DC1 warehouse at Prologis Middlewich in Cheshire.
The 185,396 sq ft facility has been taken as part of the company’s expansion programme.
Kevin Williams, managing director of Optima Logistics said: “There is an increasing demand for our bespoke distribution services and this state of the art building will allow us to develop our capabilities. It is in an ideal location for many of our clients and it represents a significant investment in the on-going success of our business.”
The park is located within two miles of Junction 18 of the M6 motorway at the heart of the region’s road and rail networks and within easy reach of both Manchester and Liverpool airports.
“Optima Logistics needed a distribution centre in the North West that is immediately ready to occupy,” said Andrew Griffiths, managing director of Prologis UK. “We aim to offer our customers the best opportunities in the market and we are delighted that we were able to meet the company’s requirements at Middlewich.”
The move could bring up to 50 jobs to the local area in the first six months.
Lamont and Savills acted for Prologis.
